recyclebicyclekidsThe Recycle Your Bicycle organization works to give kids in Arizona’s foster care system a great holiday.  Many kids in foster care have never had their own bike.  This program gives kids the joy of having their own bike.

Velocity Retail Group worked together with De Rito Partners to help Recycle Your Bicycle find space for their workshop this holiday season.  The workshop is critical as this is where volunteers gather to repair and prepare the bikes for delivery to the families.  Chuck Carlise, president of development at De Rito Partners commented “We were pleased to be able to help the team at Recycle Your Bicycle find space for their workshop this year.  The organization is funded solely on donations and works specifically for children in foster care to help make their holiday special.”

Chuck Vogel, is a Senior Vice President with VEREIT, and is also the chairperson of the Philanthropy Committee for NAIOP’s Arizona Chapter, was instrumental in assisting the Recycle Your Bicycle team in securing the new workshop space.  “NAIOP Arizona recognizes the importance of giving back to the community.  Helping those that are less fortunate than ourselves through the support of local charities is a priority that our Board of Directors is committed to”, he said.

The new workshop location is at The Pavilions at Talking Stick next to the former Sports Authority building.  8999 E. Indian Bend Road, Suite E-1.

Darren Pitts, executive vice president at Velocity Retail added, “Joe Jacober and all of the volunteers are truly unsung heroes.  They all work hard to make sure as many kids as possible can get their first bike.  By working with our partners within the shopping center industry we were able to find well-located space for the workshop this year.”
