“Old Navy continues to seek stores in strong markets. This new location will serve southern Arizona and pulls a large population from the border as well,” said Cheatham, President of Velocity Retail Group. Other tenants in the shopping center include, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Shoe Carnival, Hobby Lobby, JC Penney, and Forever 21.
It was almost 30 years ago that Dave Cheatham began working with Gap, Inc. on all of their concepts throughout the Arizona market. The Velocity Retail team is responsible for putting the first Old Navy in Phoenix in 1994, when the brand was first launched. Now there are 23 Old Navy stores in Arizona.
This represents one of several dozen big box transactions completed by Velocity Retail Group in the past two years. The firm continues to lead the retail market in big box leasing and sales and looks forward to continuing to serve its expanding retailers at the highest level.
