Velocity Retail Group produced and hosted an educational event for NAIOP Arizona Chapter members and guests to provide an overview of the retail real estate market in Phoenix. Darren Pitts, Executive Vice President and Board Member for NAIOP Arizona moderated the event. Darren is the first retail-focused Board member for NAIOP Arizona.
Darren commented after the event, “We received positive comments from many of the attendees on the value that the program provided to them. The retail industry is very dynamic and always evolving and learning about those nuances from our panelists was very enlightening for the guests attending.”
The event featured three industry veterans who provided valuable insight and information to the group. Josh Walls, Director of Real Estate for Aldi U.S. provided an overview of the grocery industry and his company. Aaron Keswick, Vice President of Peripheral Leasing for Macerich provided an update on the regional malls and power centers. Dave Cheatham, President of Velocity Retail presented an informative and revealing update on the retail market with specific insights into the current market cycle and future projections.
NAIOP is focused on improving the communities in which the members develop, build and broker commercial real estate. The organization provides a platform for professional growth for developing leaders by fostering valuable long-term relationships with industry peers.
